Too numerous to list however a few we would recommend are –
Castelnau (30 minutes away) with its wonderful Chateau and Tapestries. In July / August the opera season at the Chateau, by floodlight is a must for music lovers.

Brive la Gaillarde (40 minutes away) our nearest city has charming medieval streets with boutique shops and restaurant all radiating out from the Cathedral square.

Pompadour the national stud where one can watch magnificent displays of equitation in the natural amphitheatre of the grounds in front of the Chateau.

Rocamadour with its breathtaking cliff side position where vultures soar the cliffs. Another of Frances most visited towns.

Bealieu sur Dordogne a lovely old market town. Markets twice a week for wonderful fresh produce and many restaurants and bars

Sports Activities
Canoeing down the Dordogne river is a beautiful experience but take your sunhat and cream! Horse riding, ballooning, hang gliding, swimming in the lakes and the Dordogne. Fishing and wonderful walking in the hills where you will meet red squirrels, deer, even wild boar occasionally. The area is a walkers paradise in fact. Swimming in pools at Meyssac and Beaulieu both of which have lovely public pools. The Quercy in Relais deQuercy at Meyssac has a pool where one can enjoy the restaurant.
Golf
De Montal a 9 hole course centred around the Chateau is 30 minutes away..
Aubazine have both 9 and 18 hole courses around 30 minutes away.
Souillac has an 18 hole golf course about 45 minutes away..
